Website Terms, Disclaimers & Legal Advertising Disclosures

Effective date: September 8, 2025

1) Informational content; no legal advice

This website is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not legal advice, and you should not act or refrain from acting based on any content here without first consulting a lawyer about your specific facts. Laws and procedures change and may vary by jurisdiction.

2) No attorney–client relationship (and how representation begins)

Your use of this site, including contacting us through a form, chat, text, or email, does not create an attorney–client relationship with Christine Whorton, PLLC d/b/a Ticket Toro (“the Firm”). We only represent you after we (i) complete a conflicts check, (ii) accept your matter in writing (typically via an engagement agreement), and (iii) you satisfy any initial fee requirements stated in that agreement.

Online payment alone does not create an attorney–client relationship. If we decline representation after a payment is made through this site, we will promptly refund any unearned amount.

3) Confidentiality & communications through the website

Do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through this site, chat, text, or email before we confirm in writing that we represent you. Information sent to a lawyer unilaterally by a person who is not yet a client or confirmed prospective client may not be treated as confidential. Website chat or intake assistants (including nonlawyer staff or automated tools) do not provide legal advice and are used solely to gather basic intake information and help schedule consultations.

4) Advertising disclosures (Florida)

This website may be considered attorney advertising.

  • Responsible attorney: Christine Whorton (The Florida Bar).
  • Bona fide office location disclosure: The Firm maintains a bona fide office in Miami-Dade County, Florida. If the Firm lists other cities, those locations are for appointments or consultations only and are not Firm offices. See the Contact page for address and hours.
  • Trade name notice: “Ticket Toro” is a trade name of Christine Whorton, PLLC and is used consistently on Firm advertising and documents.
  • Board certification / specialization: Unless expressly stated, no attorney of the Firm claims to be certified, a specialist, or an expert. Any claim of board certification will identify the certifying organization and practice area.
  • Fees & costs in advertisements: If we publish a fee or flat-fee (for example, for a traffic ticket defense), any client responsibility for additional costs/expenses (e.g., court costs, fines, clerk fees, driving school fees) will be stated alongside that fee. Published fees are honored for at least 90 days unless a shorter period is clearly stated on the same page.
  • Testimonials & past results: Client reviews and any discussion of prior outcomes reflect individual experiences or case results. Prospective clients may not obtain the same or similar results. Results depend on the specific facts and law of each case. The Firm does not guarantee outcomes. We obtain client consent for any testimonial that includes case details or results.

5) Jurisdiction & audience

The Firm's lawyers are licensed in Florida unless otherwise noted. This website is intended for people seeking legal services in Florida only and is not a solicitation to provide legal services in any jurisdiction where the Firm's lawyers are not authorized to practice.

6) Deadlines and time-sensitive matters

Court dates and statutory deadlines are critical. If you have a ticket or hearing date, act immediately to retain counsel. The Firm assumes no responsibility for your deadlines unless and until an attorney–client relationship is established as described in Section 2.

7) Privacy, cookies, calls & texts

By submitting your contact information, you consent to the Firm contacting you about your inquiry (including by phone, email, or text message). Message/data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts. See our Privacy Policy for details about what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Do not submit sensitive personal information through chat or forms.

8) Third-party links & resources

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. The Firm does not control and is not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party site.

9) Intellectual property; permitted use

All site content (text, graphics, logos) is owned by the Firm or its licensors and protected by law. You may view, download, and print content for personal, noncommercial use only and must retain all proprietary notices.

10) No warranties; limitation of liability

This site is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Firm disclaims all warranties regarding the site and its content and is not liable for any loss arising from your use or reliance on the site. Nothing in this section limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

11) Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The updated terms are effective on posting. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted signifies your acceptance.
